Welcome to our Blog!

With the start of the 2008-2009 school year begins the fourth year of Skagway High School's DDF team. For three years, dedicated coaches and students have put much time and energy into developing, and gaining community support of the program and that work has paid off! For the first time, a DDF tournament will be hosted in Skagway, this February. It is an event that will require a lot of cooperation, so if you have a free hand, Skagway School would love the help! The team has also chosen to adopt a global initiative for the year 'Climate Change'.

January 11th: practice (suggested but not mandatory) 10-2
January 14th: leave for Ketchikan
January 16 -17th: DDF @Ketchikan
January 19th-20th: BBall Concessions (Klawock)
January 21st-23rd: BBall Concessions (Don Hather Tournament)
January 24th: practice 10-4
January 25th: practice (suggested but not mandatory) 10-2
January 26th-28th: Judge Training
January 29th: Leave for Anchorage (driving)
January 30th 31st: DDF@Diamond

February 2nd-5th: Judge Training
February 2nd - 3rd: BBall Concessions
February 5th: BBall Concessions
February 6th-7th: DDF@Home
February 7th: DDF Dance - MPR
February 14th: Valentine Carnations
February 21st: Asian Dinner and DDF Performance (MPR)
February 25th: Leave for State
February 26th, 27th, 28th: State@Sitka

March 7th: Open - possible Showcase at Eagles?
March 13th: Leave for the Marshall Islands
March 29th: Return from the Marshall Islands
March 30th - Season is over (unless someone qualifies for Nationals)!
